Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion

Review: Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion

Perfect for acne prone and sensitive skin. Having acne prone and sensitive skin myself, it was really difficult finding a moisturizer for my skin type. I went through years of trying various moisturizers, but none seemed to match my skin type, it was so frustrating! I was then at Sephora one day to restock on my foundation, and found this moisturizer in the Murad’s acne section, and am so happy that I did! I can honestly say that ever since finding this product, I’ve never found a moisturizer that surpasses this one.

What I like about it/Pros:

-Doesn’t make me break out and/or cause skin flare-ups

-Doesn’t make me feel greasy or sticky; very light weight and oil-free, yet thoroughly moisturizes my face

-It is made with good ingredients, free from parabens and sulfates, and has ingredients that helps smooth out lines, support cell turnover, and keeps your pores clear, while also hydrating!

-It has a neutral scent

Cons:

-Price: $42 for 1.7oz bottle

-So it is a bit on the pricier side, but definitely worth it, as a little goes a long way!

-However, I did find a discount code! If you use the code WELCOME20 at checkout on their site https://www.murad.com/product/skin-perfecting-lotion/, it brings the price down to $33.60 before tax and shipping. Tax for me was $3.23, and standard 3-5 day shipping is FREE! Bringing my total to $36.83. Also, the benefits from purchasing from the site is that all Murad products have a 60-day money-back guarantee when purchased directly from Murad.

How I use it:

-After gently washing my face, I apply a small dime-sized worth of product to my finger and dot it all over my face, and then gently work it into my skin

-I’ve found that it works perfect under makeup as well, so I use it as a base before primer and foundation application, which helps make my makeup look smooth and flawless

I’ve recommended this product to my best friend while I was in grad school, and she’s still stuck on this product as much as I am.

This review was in no way, shape, or form sponsored. I just love this moisturizer so much, and always preach about it; so I wanted to share my experience with it with you all, in case guys were also looking for a good moisturizer!

What copy-cat product would you recommend for people who aren’t keen to spending $30+ on a skin cream?

Hi Lieu! Prior to finding this moisturizer, I was using the CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with Sunscreen SPF 30, but did find it to be a little oily, and so I prefer the Murad over this one. However, this one is a good alternative for something that is more budget friendly! ๐Ÿ™‚ You can find the CeraVe facial lotion for $13.47 at Walmart; I’ve compared several places, and find that its cheapest at Walmart! https://www.walmart.com/ip/CeraVe-AM-Face-Moisturizer-with-Broad-Spectrum-Protection-SPF-30-3-oz/633435460

Here is also a link to get $4 off any CeraVe product! https://www.cerave.com/coupons
